Sunningwell Songs of Praise

Songs of Praise 29th July at Sunningwell

If you would like to choose a favourite hymn and say a few words about your choice please let Ann know asap.

Sunningwell Harvest Supper in the Village Hall on 15th September.

Harvest Supper and Quiz Night

Saturday 15th September 7 – 9.30 pm in the Village Hall

Tickets  will be available from August

£10 adults, £5 under 12 or  £25 family (2 adults+ 2 children)  to include a welcome drink. Please bring your own wine.

All ingredients will be provided for the main course of Cottage Pie but we need at least  8 people to make them and offers  please to provide a pudding to feed 6-8 people.

Vegetarian option will be available.

If you are able to help please speak to Cynthia,  Ann or Sarah or sign up on the list at the back of the church.

In the Benefice

Informal Worship Service – for three summer Sunday evenings we will be piloting an informal evening service. Music led by worship group, relaxed and informal with space to pray and be still, space for reflection and contemporary sung worship ….. all welcome!
When: Sunday 15th Jul, Sunday 19th August and Sunday 2nd September.
Where: Radley Church (15th July and 19th August) and St. Swtihun’s Kennington (2nd September)
Time: 7pm

“Communicating Faith Through The Arts”

Sunday 8th July to Wednesday 11th July

How does our Christian faith shape our response to the arts? How do the arts shape our faith?

This three day residential course at Ripon College is an opportunity to not only reflect on these questions but to express your own creativity. There will be a variety of speakers on Art, Poetry and Music, time for worship, creating your own work and reflection.  Cost £245. If you would like to know more please speak to Alison or contact Keith Glenny at Ripon College 01865 877417 keith.glenny@rcc.ac.uk

Radley

Youth Group

Between the ages of 7 – 11 or at Secondary School? Come along to our Benefice Youth Group and bring your friends!  We meet every two weeks in the Church Room and Youth Hut behind St. James Church in Radley….6-7.30pm. We start the evening off with games and social time altogether. We have a snack and then split into two groups  (7-11 and Secondary School) for informal discussion on our theme for the evening …. taking a look at a bible passage …. and more games to end. We also run socials – bowling, film nights etc and have plans for more!
This coming term the dates are: 27th May, 10th, 24th June, 8th of July.

New regulations come in to force on 25th May and the PCC have adopted and approved our Privacy Policy. A copy will be available at the back of the church and on the church website.
